For this winter's season, hollington has selected for you the beautiful pieces of Fisherman Out of Ireland, founded by the family business Blarney Woollen Mills in 1991.From the first stitch to the final press, each piece of their collection is made at their knitting factory in Kilcar, a small village in the textile tradition nestled between the Derryveagh mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. It is this awe-inspiring environment, along with the local fishing communities, which constantly feeds their inspiration when creating new yarns, colours, and styles.
This fisherman's ribbed hat can be worn unrolled or with the brim rolled up. It is made of Geelong, the wool from the first shearing of the lamb. This soft and light material resembles cashmere. Its ribbing with a plated chevron pattern is highlighted using two colours. The four colour combinations that we offer match the jumpers from the same brand: petrol (hard blue on black), granite (slate on black), pebble (light grey on mastic), seaweed blue (Baltic on khaki).
