The Lund coat shown here is cut in a moss green whipcord. This very compact woollen cloth was used in England for horse hunting clothing. Timeless and resistant, its weave has fine oblique ribbing. As it was designed by Stefano, the hand is softer than that of an English canvas. Its careful finishing makes it comfortable from the first use: no need to wear it in! The moss green colour of this urban variation of a rustic fabric is a classic. It will go with a turtleneck, black jeans, and your smarter shoes.
Our Lund overcoat is named after a city in Skåne, Sweden – you surely have recognized Patric’s Scandinavian inspiration. This true long overcoat has a straight fit for a urban, elegant look. Its back pleat is extended by a long back slit allowing you to take big steps even when the coat is tightly closed. The buttoned collar is high, and the button tab runs down to the legs. One can easily don the wide tailored sleeves over a jacket or a thick sweater, and they are voluntarily unfinished to be adjusted to your arm length. As northern elegance may appear a bit strict, Patric recently added a tiny breast pocket for a coloured handkerchief. The two bias hand pockets are also new and open on the inner lower pockets, so wide they fit secret zipped pockets the size of a smartphone. The two large front pockets are patched with a double top stitch, which is hollington’s hallmark.
