The over-jacket shown here is cut in a ultra-light double-sided canvas, 100% water-repellent cotton. Like a windbreaker, it slips into a briefcase. The outside is navy blue and the inside has grey checks.
The Carteret coat keeps pace with modern trends. It takes its inspiration from sailing apparel, as its name suggests – Carteret is a French harbour facing the Channel Islands. Designed as a windcheater, it is longer than a classic jacket or blazer. Its comfortable cut is straight (without any curve, pleat or slit) with a typical stand-up collar. The raglan sleeves allow a great freedom of movement. You can thus wear it over a jacket without feeling squeezed. The one-button cuffs are wind tight and may be disassembled to fix the sleeve length. Two high bias-cut piped pockets are meant to receive the hands and release the shoulders without warping the garment shape. The two lower pockets are patched with flap and button. The coat also includes four stout inner zipped pockets, two of them large enough to fit a notebook. Here is therefore a warm / light and foldable garment that keeps you from the wind while staying elegant.
