The setting to lengths can in no case be organized by email or by phone. However, if you choose the "store pick-up" option, you will be offered the fitting to your own measurements (excluding sales periods) – and we will even offer you (good) coffee!
Dry clean only
This regular-cut Savoie jacket is made from an intense black stretch wool. The wool comes from Italy and has 2% elastane for added comfort in your everyday movements. This fabric is completely crease-resistant. It gives you a very smart, extremely light jacket that, compared with linen of the same weight, will stay neat and wrinkle-free even when you take it out of a suitcase. This great classic from the house of hollington reveals the sober aesthetic of the architectural line of the cut as well as the excellence of the choice of material from one of the best Italian wool craftsmen. Ideal for every room and every occasion, from the office to your public appearances, you won't be accused of any lack of taste.
In case you don’t know hollington’s classic nehru-collar jacket yet, try it on: you won’t do without it any more! Patric Hollington designed it shortly after he opened his first store in 1974 and it soon became one of the brand’s iconic pieces.
Its collar, now called ‘mao collar’ to make it standard, was first named ‘nehru collar’ by Patric Hollington. A nehru collar goes slightly higher on the neck than a mao collar – this is the key of its increased elegance.
Are you not very familiar with the name of Jawaharlal Nehru? He is best know under the name Pandit Nehru and was one of the figureheads of India’s fight for independence, opening the way to a secular and modern state. If you look at pictures of him, you will see that he wore shirts and jackets which collars resemble hollington’s.
Its cut is wide and elegant, comfortable thanks to a back pleat that allows you a great freedom of movement.
Being detail-oriented, maybe you did notice that its buttons are made in a natural material. They are made either of horn or of corozo, a natural ivory that is actually palm fruit albumen.
Outside, the easily identifiable three patch pockets are maintained by topstitched seams.
Hollington favours double, symmetrical seams to underline the architectural structure of the garment.
Inside are two pen pockets and four zipped pockets to slide your favourite items.
