This jules wide cut trousers is made from black heavyweight wool corduroy. This fabric has been woven exclusively for hollington for many years by one of the finest velvet weavers in northern Italy. It is a rich, luxurious fabric made from cotton and wool (15%). Its weave is inspired by techniques used to make workwear. It is called ‘double velvet’ because it is woven with more yarn to make it warmer and more durable. The wool is placed on top of the rib, giving the fabric a very soft feel and preventing it from creasing.
At hollington, we think the silhouette from head to toe. A true house essential, the Jules trousers have thirty years of loyal service behind them—and we’re betting on just as many ahead. Expertly crafted by a specialist workshop in Portugal, they are made with the care and skill we demand for you.
First things first: they’re exceptionally comfortable. Let’s not shy away from the word when it’s well deserved. The high-rise waist is designed to sit above the hips and fastens with two buttons and a discreet hook, ensuring a smooth front and evenly distributing the fabric’s weight around the waist. Even in heavyweight corduroy for winter, you’ll barely feel them. The leg opening measures 22 cm, giving your legs room to move freely without restriction.
The waistband has six belt loops to keep everything in place. The buttoned back flap pockets are deep, while the slanted side pockets are wide enough to accommodate large hands—four generous pockets in total to carry all your daily essentials.
True to tradition, the waistband construction allows for easy tailoring if you need to size up or down. The trouser hems come unfinished so you can adjust them to your leg length. No gimmicks—just a faultless take on the classic city trouser, tailored for all body types and life’s every moment.
