This fitted Tyrol jacket is cut in a very light pure linen yellow canvas. This quality of linen prized by luxury ready-to-wear creases less than the average. It is a hollingon classic, very resistant and pleasant to wear in hot weather. Used since ancient times for clothing, linen is a prestigious fibber produced in small quantities. Resistant, absorbent and hypoallergenic, it is the ecological fabric par excellence: its cultivation requires no fertilizer or watering: rain is enough. In addition, the transformation of the plant into yarn is carried out using natural processes that consume very little energy. Nicola and Stefano, who are both great colourists, thought of the beautiful yellow colour in Prato.
If you don't know the Tyrol jacket and its Nehru collar, try it on and you won't be able to live without it! It was designed by Patric Hollington in the early 80s and immediately became an icon of the brand.
What makes this jacket so easily recognizable are its three patch pockets attached by an exposed seam. At hollington, this seam is double and symmetrical to assert the workwear signature even when the fabric is not a work fabric at all.
Its distinctive Nehru collar is remarkable but remains true to classic, clean lines. It speaks of refinement and modernity.
Originally, the Tyrol cut is straight. But, in recent years, many of you have asked us for a slightly more fitted cut. We listened to you, and you now find two versions of the jacket in our collections: the regular version and the fitted version.
But the latter does not give up comfort. It has a back pleat which allows great freedom of movement.
Italian artisan quality is inscribed in every seam of this jacket, assembled with precision. Each finish is made by hand in human-scale factories, highlighting hollington's commitment to excellence and traditional know-how.
Whether for a special occasion or a casual day, this jacket is the king's choice. Its timeless design and impeccable details continue to spark enthusiasm season after season, year after year. Thank you!
