This Lund coat is cut from a wool and mohair jacquard fabric. Black and white intertwine in this heavy jacquard, like writing woven into the fabric. The wool and mohair provide warmth and uniqueness, while its weight creates a graphic and assertive silhouette. A fabric with character, it evokes both the intensity of engraving and the softness of touch, ready to become the backdrop for a unique garment: yours.
The Lund coat takes its name from a town in Skåne, Sweden – you will have recognised Patric Hollington's Scandinavian inspiration.
This authentic long coat has a very urban and elegant look with a straight, fairly close-fitting cut. The back features a box pleat extended by a slit, allowing for long strides even when the coat is closed.
It has a high, buttoned officer-style collar and a button placket concealing the buttons down to the legs. The tailored sleeves are structured but loose enough to be worn over a jacket or jumper. They are sold unfinished so that they can be adjusted to fit your arm length precisely.
To break up the severity of this coat's Nordic elegance, Patric Hollington recently added a small piped breast pocket: you can slip a coloured pocket square into it. Another innovation is the two slanted pockets designed to hold your hands, which open onto the lower inside pockets. There are also two large patch pockets without flaps and double topstitching, Hollington's signature feature. The two inside pockets are very large.
