Since 1974, there has been a symbiotic relationship between the Hollington house and architects. And in five decades, this passion has woven one of our greatest successes: the Architect jacket. Comfortable and practical, it is a reliable piece that draws on the very best of workwear tradition.

Its straight cut, slightly longer than classic Hollington jackets, along with a back pleat for ease, offers the wearer great freedom of movement in any situation. Designed with the precision of the finest constructions, its generous shape is structured by a pronounced shoulder line.

Its Nehru collar — slightly higher than a Mao collar and finished with a notch — is the key to its elegance. Better known as “Pandit,” Jawaharlal Nehru was a leading figure in India’s independence movement. He was instrumental in the founding of a modern and secular state, and also had the good taste to wear shirts and jackets with a collar similar to that of hollington garments. Unless, of course, it was the other way around.

But it is truly through the clever arrangement of pockets on the front of the garment that its character and practical spirit really shine. Its five sturdy, welt finished exterior pockets—together with three interior pockets—are perfect for stashing everything you need from day into evening without having to carry a bag.
