Alan Paine founded his workshop in Surrey, a wool producing region, in 1907 - a sack of wool is included in his crest. King Edward VIII ordered his personalized sweaters from the brand! Picked for you by hollington, this cashmere crew-neck sweatshirt is a mainstay in a gentleman's winter casual wardrobe.
Its wool was spun by Europe's oldest spinner, Z. Hinchliffe, in Yorkshire, from Cashmere goats. This super soft and lightweight cashmere is hypoallergenic and does not itch. Eight-time more insulating than ordinary wool, it’s like a constant hug and can last a lifetime if care for correctly. Our sweatshirt is knitted to a contemporary regular fit, which is slightly tapered across the waist and chest, whilst still retaining plenty of room for ease of movement. Fully fashioned, this sweatshirt is finished by hand to give the smoothest join possible. It has ribbed cuffs, collar, and hem for added snugness and fit.
