This double-sided wool sheet perfectly embodies the timeless elegance of Hollington, combining British tradition with contemporary comfort. On the outside, a deep, refined navy blue colour gives it a sober and distinguished look. On the inside, a grey and red tartan pattern, emblematic of British fashion, gives the design a decidedly British, chic and authentic feel. Unlike traditional English sheets, which are dry and rough to the touch, similar to tweed, this sheet is distinguished by its soft, supple and comfortable feel. Its generous thickness gives it a structured hold while retaining a warm and cosy feel.
The Naipaul holds a special place in the hollington collections: halfway between a shirt and a jacket, it is a small miracle of comfort, owed entirely to its ultra-lightweight construction.
This fluid garment was designed like a veil of fabric. Its interior contains no interlining, no lining. When made from a fine fabric, it resembles an overshirt; when the fabric is thick, it takes on all the characteristics of a casually chic jacket.
Its cut is generous, with wide armholes. It fits perfectly over a shirt or a t-shirt. In either case, there's no risk of feeling restricted: a back pleat ensures great freedom of movement in any situation. Its high officer collar is accented with a strip of fabric that gives the neckline its graphic line.
Made in Chatillon sur Indre in a small-scale workshop, it features six patch pockets: three on the outside and three on the inside, two of which are zippered. All are applied and secured with stitching. At hollington, this stitching is double and symmetrical to respect the architectural structure of the garment.
