This exceptional fabric, designed for making the Hollington jacket, combines the nobility of alpaca with the natural robustness of wool, creating a material that is luxurious, warm and durable. Generously thick, it offers optimal protection against the cold, ideal for the winter seasons. Inside, its long, dense and silky pile, similar to fine fur, envelops the body in incomparable softness. This soft feel provides an immediate sensation of comfort and warmth, while remaining highly breathable. On the outside, the fabric reveals a refined, structured pattern with a chic finish for a sophisticated and timeless look. Its colour palette: a delicate off-white mixed with shades of cream.
The Naipaul holds a special place in the hollington collections: halfway between a shirt and a jacket, it is a small miracle of comfort, owed entirely to its ultra-lightweight construction.
This fluid garment was designed like a veil of fabric. Its interior contains no interlining, no lining. When made from a fine fabric, it resembles an overshirt; when the fabric is thick, it takes on all the characteristics of a casually chic jacket.
Its cut is generous, with wide armholes. It fits perfectly over a shirt or a t-shirt. In either case, there's no risk of feeling restricted: a back pleat ensures great freedom of movement in any situation. Its high officer collar is accented with a strip of fabric that gives the neckline its graphic line.
Made in Chatillon sur Indre in France in a small-scale workshop, it features six patch pockets: three on the outside and three on the inside, two of which are zippered. All are applied and secured with stitching. At hollington, this stitching is double and symmetrical to respect the architectural structure of the garment.
